Virginia CRAM-MARTOS, the CEO of Triangularity, has many years’ experience in combining her interests in innovation, trade and technology in order to help others better understand all three and how they can be used to support economic growth and development. She has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Master’s Degree in Finance from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium, speaks three languages (English, French and Spanish), and is a recognized international speaker on technology topics, having made presentations in all three languages and, during the last two years, on five continents. Prior to Triangularity, Ms. Cram-Martos worked for 25 years at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva, Switzerland. During her last 11 years at the UN, she was a Director responsible for: trade facilitation, global UN electronic business standards, regulatory cooperation, national innovation frameworks and public-private partnerships. In addition to leading the Triangularity’s activities, she also participates as an expert in a range of activities related to blockchain and other technologies. This includes being the leader for a project of the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT) that created a white paper on Blockchain in Trade Facilitation and co-leader of another white paper project on the Internet of Things and Trade Facilitation as well as participating in other fora organized by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the European Union and the World Economic Forum.
